Garden Fresh Tomatoes and Meatballs

I was so focused on yesterday’s propane struggle that I neglected to mention dinner with Jeff and Beth last night. 

Beth prepared an appetizer of sliced garden fresh tomato, sliced mozzarella, fresh basil, and balsamic vinegar.  It was heaven.  Wonderful. She also made meatballs in marinara served with pasta and wine.

After dinner Jeff started a fire in the pit and we sat peacefully watching the fire burn and talking.  We could hear the distant sounds of a party, whoops, shouts, and dance music.  Beth said usually visitors comment on how quiet it is here.  We figured the party celebrated someone’s wedding. 

Good food, good wine, and good friends; what more could one ask for.
