Seabourn Day 2, evening into night

Dinner was again fabulous. Caramelized Pear salad, beef Wellington, lobster tail, fresh vegetables, twice cooked potato with seasoning, caramel soufflé, espresso. Ellen had her hair done in the salon, dressed formally for dinner and looked gorgeous. We often dress in warmup pants and T-shirts. It’s fun to dress to the 9’s sometimes. We should do more of this and go the the San Francisco Opera or the symphony now that we have the time.

the after dinner performance in the theater was great. It was a vocal review of “oldies” of all styles with the dance instructors performing to the music. It was entertaining. We hardly noticed the time go by.

Tomorrow we visit Mykonos by tender. For this port we did not chose an excursion, but wanted to wander the town on our own as we did in Rome and Istanbul. Mykonos is known for its shopping and as a destination for the rich and famous jet setters.

This evening our bed was made and there were chocolates sitting on the bedspread “as usual”. The rose petals across the top of the bed and the soft music playing on the in-suite stereo were a surprise.

With all these calories we’ve consumed, tomorrow it’s off to the gym for me before breakfast. I did some exercise today, weigh lifting and treadmill running with some sauna time after. I could get used to this lifestyle.
