I’m reading three books: Collapse by Jared Diamond, The Righteous Mind why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion by jonathan Haidt, and (drum roll) Are YOU Smart Enough to Work at Google by William Poundstone. Jim suggested it would be better if William’s last name were Poundsand. I agree!
Which book I pick up in the evening is pretty random. Collapse is dry but very informative: why did the Anasazi or Mayan Civilizations collapse? This book explains why with very thorough documentation. The righteous mind presents the argument that we make decisions based on intuitive/emotional reason then use rational reasoning to justify our choice. (at least that’s where the book looks to be going). “Smart Enough is a funny read. Google is notorious for their interview process with some outlandish questions thrown at interviewees. I have no interest in working for Google and I am not boning up on “how to get hired at Google”. This is more a fun read for the absurdity of it all.

I used a pre-canned WordPress theme, but the design of the first page and pictures is my own.
The site is self designed, based on WordPress. I may be moving to another skin in the next few months.
When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added”
checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get
