Compromise is good, but…

As the country grows more divided, at some point in the future the “nuclear option” will be taken. Either you do it, or the other side will. Recognizing that and your limited future in the senate, why not?

Why not go for 50% to enact legislature? Why whimp out?

Sure the republians blinked and are coming to the table regards Obama’s stalled nominees. Yes, that is a short term win. But why not swing for the fences and deal with the fallout when the republicans have a majority? 51% is a majority in my book. Why Whimp Out?
